Party of Communist Unification in the Canaries (in Spanish: Partido de Unificación Comunista en Canarias), a communist political party working for the political autonomy of the Canary Islands. PUCC originated from OPI, a leftist split of the Communist Party of Spain. PUCC worked underground during the Francisco Franco dictatorship.
PUCC appeared sometime in 1975. PUCC held its first conference in 1978.
In the 1977 elections PUCC supported Frente Democrático de Izquierdas.
The leader of PUCC was Paco Tovar Santos.
PUCC published an internal bulletin called Comunista (Communist).
In the second congress of PUCC in 1980, it changed its name to Movimiento de Izquierda Revolucionaria del Archipiélago Canario-PUCC.
The group is no longer active today.
